No rate increase this spring
In November, Emerald's Board of Directors approved the 2022 operating budget outlining the utility's continued efforts to keep pace with rising costs while having minimal impact on customer-owners. The budget was
approved with no rate increase expected in 2022.
This is the third consecutive year Emerald has avoided raising rates.
This stability has largely resulted from utility-wide cost efficiencies, strategic power purchases, and the regular outperformance of the annual budget. Rates have remained stable overall since 2012, with an average residential annual rate increase of just 2.2 percent. View the 2022 budget and past financials.
