Hours of Operation

We are open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Emergency/Outage service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To report an outage, log into SmartHub online or with the free mobile app, or call us at (541) 746-1583.

Required Information

Please have this information ready when you contact us to start or transfer service:

  • Social security number
  • Date of birth
  • Phone number
  • Mailing address
  • Service address

Processing Time

Please contact us at least 48 business hours before the effective date. While Emerald PUD strives to provide next-day service, occasionally additional time is needed.


A deposit may be required to start your account.  Deposits are calculated using the energy consumption history for the service address.  The amount will be two times the highest bill from the previous 12 months.

Proof of Identity

For your protection, we must verify your identity before establishing an account.  A soft credit check will be processed to verify your identification and determine if a deposit will be added to your account.  The credit check will not impact your credit score.
