EPUD received a “Top 10” ranking in the annual assessment released by the U.S Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory. EPUD ranks ninth in the nation for the price of its renewable power program, making it one of the most affordable green power programs in the nation.
“The success of the EPUD Renewables Green Power program demonstrates EPUD’s commitment to a sustainable energy future,” said Rob Currier, EPUD Commercial and Industrial Analyst. “We aim to make our program affordable enough for all Customer-Owners interested in supporting renewable energy technologies.”
EPUD currently gives residential customers the option of purchasing 50 or 100 percent of their total electric consumption from renewable energy sources including wind and landfill gas. Business customers have the option of purchasing 10, 25, 50 or 100 percent of their electricity from renewable sources.
