The US National Weather Service Portland Oregon (NWS) has issued a Red Flag Warning beginning at 2:00 PM today, 7/16/24, until 5 AM tomorrow morning. This impacts most of EPUD's service territory, with the exception of Lorane and the area west of Elmira.
At this time, EPUD's electric system is in GUARDED OPERATING MODE. We are closely monitoring the weather and may modify or disable recloser equipment settings if conditions worsen.
We will keep you informed if conditions progress and the utility moves to the next operating mode.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly, including wind and low relative humidity.
