Emerald People’s Utility District (EPUD) crews will continue working until approximately 10 pm tonight and then go home for rest after working through the night last night. One newly arrived contract crew, however, will stay and work tonight on restoring power.
We are unsure as to what tonight’s snowfall will bring, but come early morning, our recharged crews will get back to work removing downed lines and getting power back on to our customers.
The next EPUD update is scheduled for 6 am Wednesday, February 27.
Emerald PUD is a not‐for‐profit electric utility formed in 1978 by a small group of local citizens who wanted better, customer‐oriented service at the lowest possible rates. Today EPUD serves more than 20,000 meters in Lane County, Oregon.
