Emerald People’s Utility District (EPUD) has good news and bad news for customers.
“The good news is that three crews from other utilities have arrived to help. Our main focus now is on safety. We are cutting power to downed lines and removing them from roadways and houses,” said Patty Jo Angelini, public relations coordinator.
“The bad news is that this is a devastating storm and when people wake up tomorrow, power will most likely be off. We encourage customers to make alternate arrangements to temporarily stay with a friend or family member until power is restored,” she said.
The utility crews assisting EPUD are from McMinnville Power and Light, Columbia River PUD, and Salem Electric.
