We encourage all scholarship applicants to complete a job shadow.
Scholarships are available to youth starting and continuing their college or trade school education and adults seeking second career training. EPUD will award up to five (5) $3,000 scholarships totaling $15,000 in 2019 to students interested in pursuing utility industry careers.
We are no longer accepting applications for the 2019 scholarship program. If you are interested in applying for the scholarship in 2020, please enter your name and email address at the bottom of this page to receive an email notification when the application process opens.
Graduating high school seniors or adults who have graduated high school or received their GED from an accredited educational institution may apply. High school or college transcript must show an accumulated GPA of at least 2.0. Scholarships will be awarded to EPUD customers or family members attending a college, university, or trade school.
The electric utility industry employs a broad range of people with widely varying skills and trades, including line work, tree trimming, engineering, energy efficiency, accounting, communications, graphic design, customer service, and human resources, and many others. An EmPOWERing Scholarship can help you further your education and learn the skills that may lead to a utility career in the future.
