Hello Emerald Customer-Owners,

I hope everyone is enjoying the early days of summer and finding time to be with family and friends. Despite the beautiful weather, our staff has remained laser focused on the January Ice Storm event. I’ve provided an update in the video below, focusing on two major items.

First, on the FEMA front, we remain on track to receive reimbursement for the majority of our $12 million in storm restoration costs. This will go a long way toward minimizing the rate impact on our customer-owners. And second, last month our staff published a Post Event Analysis report, which includes root causes and proactive measures to limit similar damage in the future. We’ll highlight many of these actions in the days ahead but I encourage you to give the report a once over. The first few pages provide a nice summary, with plenty of detail later in the document. You can access this report by clicking on the image beneath the video.

We always love hearing directly from customers so please reach out with any questions or comments about the findings in this report.
