PUBLIC POWER WEEK, October 7 – 10
October 7 @ 7:30 am - October 10 @ 11:00 amFree
Join us at our office for free coffee and cocoa drinks made by Blue Valley Bistro, Monday-Thursday, 7:30 to 11 AM.
October is an exciting month for public power utilities nationwide. It’s the time of year we celebrate Public Power Week and recognize the importance of public power in our lives and communities. EPUD will celebrate Public Power Week along with more than 2,000 public power utilities nationwide.
We celebrate because public power puts our customers first, and Public Power Week gives us the chance to emphasize the advantages of locally grown, locally owned power to our citizens. We are proud to be community powered and serving our friends and neighbors. It is our great honor to serve this community, and it has been all along.
How is public power different?
It’s the principles of public power that set EPUD apart from investor-owned utilities. For example, we provide efficient service at the lowest cost consistent with reliability and community goals. And utility benefits, such as conservation, education, and safety programs, remain right here in our communities.
Because reliability is essential to excellent service, our crews and staff live and work in the communities we serve to provide quick response to storms and other customer needs. These are just a few of the benefits provided to you by public power.
Enjoy a cup on us!
