Emerald-Go EV Charging Network

In EPUD’s 550 square mile service territory spread over rural Lane County, the availability of public electric vehicle charging is limited. That’s why we’ve created programs to develop charging sites and make EV charging more accessible to our customers and community. With financial support from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation Zero Emissions Vehicle Infrastructure Fund, the Oregon Clean Fuels Program, and its own public purpose funds, EPUD is pleased to announce the launch of its first EV charging locations.

Active Charging Locations

  • Elmira High School
    4 chargers (2 stations)
  • Pleasant Hill High School
    6 chargers (3 stations)
  • Cottage Grove High School
    6 chargers (3 stations)
  • Mohawk High School

Charging Your EV

Chargers are open to staff, students and the public.

SemaConnect is our level 2 charging station vendor for all four school locations. With a level 2 charger, you can expect to gain about 25 miles of range for each hour of charging.

How long does charging take?

It takes approximately 5-6 hours to charge from empty to full on a Nissan Leaf. However, if you’re driving a Chevy Volt with a smaller battery, charging time will be around 3-4 hours from empty to full.
