As a consumer-owned utility and public agency, we strive to make EPUD open and accessible to customers. This has become more difficult in the midst of a global pandemic that’s required us to close our building to the public. Nonetheless, we’ve tried to find innovative ways for our customers to keep tabs on their utility, including by offering virtual attendance options for meetings of our Board of Directors. Many customers have found this even more convenient than driving all the way down to our building as used to be required.
I encourage all customers to take advantage of this option and join us virtually for a Board meeting. Your elected Board members meet the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm for their normal business meeting. Each meeting features a public comment session near the beginning and end of the agenda, where anyone can address the Board on utility business matters.
And starting in February, I’m excited to announce that we’ll be adding a new Board workshop meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 3:00 pm. These meetings will focus on higher level issues and topics of interest to the utility and will be a good opportunity to understand all that goes into policy making here at EPUD. Workshops will also be available virtually to anyone who wishes to join us.
A full list of Board meetings and agenda materials can be found at the following link: https://www.epud.org/about-us/board-of-directors/board-meetings/
Anyone wishing to attend virtually can simply go to https://www.epud.org/zoom or use the dial-in number listed on the agenda.
I look forward to seeing you at a future Board meeting.
Please stay safe,
