Call 8-1-1 Before You Dig

There's a new, easy-to-remember phone number to call before you dig.

When you call 811, your call will be routed to the Utility Notification Center. The Utility Notification Center is the one-call agency dedicated to safeguarding citizens and construction personnel who work around utilities, as well as safeguarding the underground infrastructure of pipes, mains and lines that bring utilities to your community. Calling before beginning any excavation prevents damage to underground facilities, service interruptions, and bodily injury.

The Utility Notification Center is open 24 hours a day, every day, and accepts calls from contractors, homeowners, or anyone planning to dig in Oregon, Washington, Montana, and Hawaii. Calling before you dig ensures that any publicly owned underground facilities will be marked according to the APWA color code so that you can dig safely.

Once your underground lines have been marked, you will know the approximate location of your utility lines and can dig safely, because knowing what's below protects you and your family.

Always call 811 before starting any digging project!

EPUD's Computer Conversion

We're changing our computer system starting in April, and that will make a difference for you.

Check out our View & Pay page online... it will be totally new, and with an added ability to sign up for paperless bills via email.

A new look for your bills! And customers with multiple accounts will have more flexibility - they can have one bill for all, or separate bills. Click here to see the improvements we've made to the bills.

Please be patient. The changes in how we do our work are huge, with endless possibilities to serve you better. We've had a lot of excellent training in preparation, but glitches are always possible.

Coming Soon to a Meter Near You!

Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) is on its way. With AMR, we can read meters electronically, over the power line. It's more efficient and saves money, instead of having Meter Readers drive all over our 500-square-mile District. Our Meter Readers will transition to other jobs at EPUD, but they'll miss the customers they've come to know reading meters. We began installing AMR meters in the Creswell area in November, 2006. Meters will be replaced throughout the whole District in 2007 and early 2008...all 19,000 of them. Click here for more information.
