WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM

EPUD can help you install insulation, windows, and duct sealing in your home. In partnership with First Tech Credit Union, we offer zero-interest loans of up to $4,000 for weatherization. A rebate of $500 is also available. To see if you qualify, call Energy Services at 541-746-1583 and schedule a Home Energy Analysis. In general, permanent homes, rental homes, manufactured/mobile homes, and multifamily units may qualify if the primary heat source is electric. For more information CLICK HERE.

HEAT PUMP PROGRAM

EPUD can help you install a heat pump in your home. In partnership with First Tech Credit Union, we offer zero-interest loans of up to $7,500 for qualifying ENERGY STAR-rated heat pumps. In addition, EPUD offers a rebate of $800. State and Federal tax credits are also available for the installation of qualifying heat pumps.

REFRIGERATOR RECYCLING

Old refrigerators and freezers typically use at least 200% more electricity than newer models. Emerald and its program partner, JACO Environmental, will pick up your old refrigerator or freezer for free, responsibly recycle all the materials, and give you a $30 credit on your EPUD bill. CHECKME!® PROGRAM

CheckMe! is a system developed by the Proctor Engineering Group to address problems with heat pump and central air conditioning inefficiencies. CheckMe! can best be described as a ”tune-up” for your heating and air conditioning system—a tune-up that relies on specially-trained technicians, modern diagnostic equipment and a computer data bank of information on each heat pump/air conditioner brand available. CheckMe! is recognized regionwide as an effective way to improve heating systems, and qualifies for a tax credit through the Oregon Office of Energy. ENERGY STAR® HOMES

Homes built to ENERGY STAR Homes Northwest Program standards will be at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the Oregon State Energy Code, by incorporating construction practices and high-efficiency equipment specified by the ENERGY STAR certification requirement. Incentives of up to $2,000 are available.

NEEM ENERGY STAR MANUFACTURED HOME INCENTIVE PROGRAM

EPUD is promoting the construction and purchase of energy efficient manufactured housing by offering a rebate to homebuyers purchasing electrically-heated NEEM ENERGY STAR manufactured homes sited within our District. EPUD will offer a $600 rebate to qualifying homebuyers. CLICK HERE to download the rebate form.

SOLAR WATER HEATER PROGRAM

Have you considered installing a solar water heater in your home? EPUD currently offers a $600 rebate and a $7,500 zero-interest loan toward the installation of a new system. The State of Oregon also offers a tax credit of up to $1,500. For more information CLICK HERE.

WATER HEATER PROGRAM

Need to install a new water heater? If you install a qualifying, energy-efficient water heater, we’ll give you a $30 rebate.

ENERGY-EFFICIENT APPLIANCE PROGRAM

When shopping for a new appliance for your home, remember EPUD has rebates to help you cover the cost of purchasing qualifying ENERGY STAR appliances that are more energy-efficient. The rebates are $70 for clothes washers, $25 for dishwashers, $25 for refrigerators, and $25 for freezers.
