EPUD Employee Accepts Position with the United Nations

August 25, 2011

Hillary McBrideEPUD Community Relations Officer, Hillary McBride, recently accepted a position with the United Nations in Bonn, Germany.  Hillary will be the Associate Communications Officer for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.  In this position, she will work to aid the 194 countries with emission reduction targets under the Kyoto Protocol.

During her three year employment with EPUD, Hillary accomplished many things including launching a successful social media campaign to communicate with utility Customer-Owners.  She improved overall utility communications by increasing the volume and frequency of communications, re-branding utility materials, creating electronic communication campaigns, and redesigning the utility web-page. She also managed the utility event schedule, media relations, and a full list of community relations programs.

Hillary represented EPUD well and provided a great face for the District, promoting utility accomplishments and utility employees.  During her tenure with EPUD, she was also selected to be a part of the Rotary Group Study Exchange Program, where she spent a month touring energy facilities in Brazil.

“Hillary will be greatly missed by the team at EPUD,” said Customer Service and Communications Manager Jaime Cranmer. “We wish her well in this future career and are proud of her accomplishments.”

Her last day with the utility will be September 28.
